Dear parents,
Welcome to our English projects’ presentations. At El CIM we are always striving to find new ways to engage our students, so that they gain a love for learning by focusing on real-world issues. Our aim to integrate the use of project-based learning (PLB) in the curriculum, challenges students to communicate, collaborate and think critically.
With recent events concerning the usage of electricity and excessive use of coal, Year 4 chose to learn more about the issues regarding energy. The students were given the task to prepare a presentation in small groups. Over the course of the term, they have researched information to learn about the energy source their group were focusing on. Upon selecting key points, the groups then designed their posters and a small demonstration / model to aid their oral presentation.

Benvinguts a les presentacions dels nostres projectes en anglès. Al CIM sempre ens esforcem per trobar noves maneres d’implicar els nostres estudiants, perquè adquireixin amor per l’aprenentatge centrant-se en temes del món real. El nostre objectiu d’integrar l’ús de l’aprenentatge basat en projectes al currículum, desafia els estudiants a comunicar-se, col·laborar i pensar de manera crítica.
Amb els esdeveniments recents relacionats amb l’ús de l’electricitat i l’ús excessiu del carbó, a 4t vam optar per aprendre més sobre els problemes relacionats amb l’energia. Els alumnes tenien la tasca de preparar una presentació en grups reduïts. Al llarg del trimestre, han investigat informació per conèixer la font d’energia en què s’estava centrant el seu grup. Després de seleccionar els punts clau, els grups van dissenyar els seus pòsters i una petita demostració/model per facilitar la seva exposició oral.
